THE LEGEND

Bakugan is a Japanese-Canadian multimedia franchise that combines collectible toys, a trading card game, and an animated series. The toy concept features small spherical creatures that snap open into monster figures when rolled onto magnetized Gate Cards.

Players battle by rolling their Bakugan onto cards, and the one with the highest "G-Power" wins. It became a massive global phenomenon after launching around 2007.

The anime follows Dan Kuso and his friends who discover that a card game they invented is actually connected to a real parallel dimension called Vestroia. The show ran several seasons with evolving storylines and new generations of characters.

At its peak around 2008-2010 it was one of the biggest toy lines in the world, rivaling Pokemon and Beyblades in the collectibles market.
